Show your appreciation for their guidance

Marhaban Yaa Ramadhan. With the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan 1445H, have we ever recalled our previous Qur’an teachers or Qur’an teachers in remote areas of Indonesia, whether they celebrated Ramadan this year with little or enough.

Even though they are the ones who are very meritorious in our lives guiding our spirituality, educating, teaching one by one the letters of the Qur’an so that now we can read the Koran fluently. Yes, they are one of the people we should honor and remember during the month of Ramadan.

But their services are not comparable to what they have gotten so far, yes indeed they are selfless fighters. They never complain about the situation, they don’t charge a penny to educate us and with all their sufficiency, not even many of them fund their own da’wah by working part-time as farm laborers, ranchers, craftsmen or odd jobs while they can earn halal money.

And in this month of Ramadan we can give a little gift and appreciation for their services so far, by giving gifts to them in the form of special money in the month of Ramadan, new clothes for Eid prayers which will at least carve a smile on their faces and make this Ramadan more special. In order to reignite their enthusiasm to fight with their da’wah in remote areas in order to produce children who memorize the Koran for the next generation.

“Whoever honors the ulama (teachers), means he has honored me. And whoever honors me, honors Allah. And whoever honors Allah, his return will be to Paradise.” (Kitab Lubabul Hadith).
